Sorry, but just doing my duty in raising as much money as possible for the Club.
I've managed to get hold of some very unique Saint ties, 10 of which can now be found on Ebay.
Here's the blurb:
This is an opportunity to own a unique tie-in to the adventures of Simon Templar.
When the first Royal Marine Commando unit was raised in WWII it was known as 'Alpha Troop'. This was later to become 40 Commando Royal Marines and under this name it had four companies (coy), Alpha to Delta. During the war, Alpha Coy had a very inspirational commander called Capt Mike Ephrams. His favourite contemporary novelist at the time was Leslie Charteris and when he was killed by a German sniper in Italy, his Coy adopted the name the 'Saints' and also the distinctive logo.
The company in recent years has been busy in Iraq and on their return we had a silk tie commissioned for those who served on operations, and any veterans from the original Coy.
The ties have a light blue 'Saint' logo on a olive green background.
All money raised by the sale of these ties goes directly to The Saint Club, where all profits go to charity.
